About

I’m a clerk in a council office in the Marina Alta. Day job: appointments, documents, phones. Off the clock: I read planning stuff and make notes about how towns actually work.

When newcitiesfoundation.org was active, I liked their focus on wellbeing, housing, mobility, and environment. The domain lapsed; I bought it. This site isn’t the foundation—no affiliation, no sponsors. It’s a hobby where I try their big themes on small places.

What I do

  • pick a Marina Alta town and one topic (getting to the health centre, market-day access, shade and seating, small housing fixes)

  • walk it, time it, count the basic things, take two or three photos

  • write short notes and one cheap change that would help

  • go back later and see if anything moved

Scope

Marina Alta first; occasionally I run the same check in nearby cities to compare.

Why this exists

I like planning and I think small improvements stack up. It’s a whim, but a useful one. I don’t expect readers; this is a notebook. (I’m bored)… but it keeps me busy.
